"Tara and her team have provided an opportunity for my 10 year old daughter to interact with horses on a weekly basis. She started three years ago with the Art and Horses programme in St Ives and she loved the art sessions but lived for the horse care and cuddles.
She has attended other programmes and holiday sessions with Tara. We have “followed” Tara to Wyee as we can see that these interactions have been so beneficial. She’s developing confidence as well as learning calming and focusing techniques in a nurturing environment. It has been worth the drive as she has been with Tara for over three years and we can see so many benefits such as managing her emotions, centring herself and expressing her emotions in a clear manner.
She is also becoming a competent horse handler and is considering a path in horse management or as an equine Vet because of it. Tara is a wonderful role model (especially for little girls who are addicted to horses!).

"My daughter started with Tara and her gorgeous horse friends as an alternative to traditional therapy. She was in complete sensory overload and had severe separation anxiety. Over the course of a few sessions we noticed her confidence increase long after each session ended. She was able to leave me and spend time with Jasper or Rocky in a field completely separate to me. She hadn’t been able to do this in months. She was calmer for longer periods and was able to slowly start to wear different clothes and stay at preschool for longer periods of time. Tara’s patience and ability to be flexible and responsive to our daughter’s needs during each session quickly built a comfortable relationship based on trust. Tara and her gorgeous horses helped to calm our gorgeous daughter’s nervous system and have had a long lasting effect."

"We are so thankful for the support of Tara and her horse tribe of Rocky, Chaz and Jasper. My autistic ten year old was finding the demands of school and life particularly challenging. Her anxiety was heightened and we saw her happy and confident little self start to retreat a little more each day. She had a taste of equine assisted learning at a camp and it was something she was keen to pursue.
We are forever grateful to have found Tara. Our daughters connection with the gorgeous horses (Rocky was a favourite little gentleman) was profound.
